This class covers the fundamentals of wheel throwing, use of hand-tools, glaze and slip decoration, clay body, slip formulation and raw materials. Students receive individual instruction, and all skill levels are welcome.

If you’re looking for the opportunity to explore, refine and focus your clay work, this is the perfect class for you! This course is a continuation of Beginning/Intermediate Ceramics. Students will acquire techniques and study of form and function that include throwing, hand-building and altered thrown techniques. Raku, Saggar and other
low fire processes will be introduced.
Prerequisite - Beginning/Intermediate Ceramics class or consent of instructor.
