Art Club teens will explore various facets of the world of art, gaining knowledge about past styles and embracing contemporary styles.  Ideally, there will be discoveries about our individual selves and what art styles we favor.  Unique practices are encouraged and each pupil will be allowed to move at their own pace.  There will be involved discussions about several art strategies and movements such as portraiture, surrealism, recycled art, etc.  Open-minded people curious about art and interested in learning more about themselves are encouraged.

Karly Koster was born in Corpus Christi, Texas and recently moved to Grand Junction after receiving her Bachelor's in drawing and a minor of psychology at Stephen F. Austin State University in East Texas.  She enjoys embracing nature through camping, hiking and bide rides.  She loves using colors and recycled items to create "by-chance" collages.  Her current occupation is with Rocky Tops on Main Street creating silk screen art and sewing custom embroidery designs.  She intends to earn a Master's in art therapy and work with troubled youth.
